AALPD Issues Papers

The Association of Adult Literacy Professional Developers acts on issues that impact professional development. The AALPD’s Recommended Policies to Support Professional Development for Adult Education Professionals are sixteen policy statements that support the participation of adult basic education, adult ESOL, and adult secondary education practitioners (including paraprofessionals and adult learner leaders who are staff members) in professional development to help them be effective in their roles. These recommended policies are the foundation for AALPD’s subsequent advocacy work and positions on issues. AALPD Issues Papers are listed below; they are updated periodically.
